Textured Rugs

Every rug in the collection is tufted with a loop pile, and the way those loops are gathered, spaced and coloured gives each its own surface: pebbled, corded, flecked or chunky.

Choosing a textured rug

Pebbled. Halcyon’s rounded loops sit close and even, Sunlit’s are gently irregular like the small stones of a shore, and Daybreak’s carry tiny flecks of oatmeal that make a softly mottled texture.

Corded. Vesper’s loops stand in even rows that repeat like the stitches of a knitted throw, while Glint’s rows, ivory over soft gold, build a raised texture that catches the light as you pass.

Chunky. Dapple gathers full loops into rounded clusters, richly speckled with warm sand and taupe, and little pockets of shadow sit between them to give the surface an inviting depth.

Every one is Wool Blend, so you can choose by surface alone. On every rug’s page, Find your fit shows how it sits beside a sofa, bed or table of your own.

Which rugs have a textured surface, and what is each texture like?
  • Halcyon: softly pebbled, pale and almost cloudlike
  • Sunlit: finely textured, with a gentle sheen
  • Daybreak: close and irregular, softly mottled
  • Vesper: corded, ivory and taupe in an even rhythm
  • Glint: corded, ivory over soft gold, with a structured, raised surface
  • Dapple: chunky and flecked, an inviting texture
Are these rugs tufted, and what does a tufted loop pile look and feel like?

Yes. Every rug here is tufted, with a loop pile: the surface is made entirely of loops. They are rounded and close in Halcyon, set in even rows in Vesper and Glint, mingled with golden threads in Sunlit, flecked with oatmeal in Daybreak, and full and clustered in Dapple.

Underfoot each is soft, and each has the character its loops give it, from Halcyon’s close, even pebbles to Dapple’s chunky clusters.

Is there a plain rug, with texture instead of a pattern?

Halcyon is the plainest: cream loops throughout, where the only pattern is the shadow that falls between them.

How do I care for a loop texture, with pets around?

Vacuum with suction only and keep any rotating brush switched off, since a brush can roughen the loops. Loops and cords can catch a claw, so trimmed nails help. If a loop does come up, snip it level with the surrounding pile rather than pulling it.
